1. Switcher -“switch immediately” - some kind of immediate help to survive a crisis, a situation in which someone is affected by one or more serious problems. It’s important to switch to something different in the very beginning then. It's a very simple app to promote the brand IDEASTARTS. Prototype
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s absolutely against the stream as nowadays all apps are created to be used as much as possible. As for Switcher it’s better to use it as least as possible. It’s going to be for free and on every phone. Let’s try it.
Personal story
During my first class of “Design for Mobile Devices“ at my University (thanks to all my teachers) there was in the presentation slide that our mobile app should have a purpose to be an app, not, for example, a site. I created it exactly then. Which app do you always need to have on your mobile phone, what is app number one to have not to use?
2. Tholyzer -“think about thinking” - it’s to practise your thinking about thinking, to rethink your thinking. If our lives are going to be analyzed and are already being analyzed by machines (algorithms) why not try to look at yourself from the machine perspective right now?
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s against the stream as nowadays all our new technologies are about thinking for/instead of us, for example, the Internet of things, etc. But if we try to think for ourselves what will happen? Let’s try to do it.
Personal story
During my online studies, the professor in his introduction lecture warned us not to share something about our app we think to be our intellectual property. I created Tholyzer at once, it was like a real prototype of an app but the inner algorithm was not provided.
3. You&You -“emotionally connect” - this app is really about a very unique opportunity as it’s about something not completely controlled by science but realized with the use of new technologies. It’s still important to be emotionally connected in our age of everything automated.
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s absolutely against the stream as we live in the age when everything is scientifically proven, all the dimensions are liner and it’s possible to move only in one direction. But maybe our emotions are still not so proven and direct? Let’s test it.
Personal story
Everything was ok but one day I understood that not everything is ok. Maybe there was a time issue, I understood that more than 100 years passed. I knew it before but only then I understood it. The issue was to understand what was not ok. The interview with Diane Arbus, an American photographer, helped me to understand it. She confessed that she was able to feel only not real. It was not ok because I didn’t feel it real. It will be possible to connect emotionally/ feel real using a super popular new technology trick in a mobile app.
4. YouToday -“your autopilot” - not predictable human nature needs to be organized. To be honest we can’t do it always ourselves even with help of new technologies. Maybe it’s more efficient to start first with nature itself, even rather light auto training can be very helpful. If you have it on your phone you’ll be able to use it any day.
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s against the stream as, nowadays there’s a very popular trend of everybody becoming semi machines, as an example, learning programming from kindergarten, etc. Is becoming absolute applications to machines the only way to be successful? Maybe on the opposite, programming yourself is the key to success? Let’s test it.
Personal story
I try to do everything right, for example, practice yoga regularly, follow the diet, pass any tests, etc. And I noticed that everything especially going perfect when I do it on autopilot. Also, some time ago I was obsessed with everything like training/business training, I even was going to write my Master in Motivation about it. It should be possible/simpler to do your best on autopilot with YouToday app.
5. ReSenser -“think out of the box” - an analogue of solutions development while brainstorming but in the case of ReSenser you’ll be provided with a tool to do it in most efficient way. It will be also possible to train out of the box thinking.
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s against the stream as, for example, nowadays there’s a very popular theory about emotional intelligence. Being emotionally intelligent is being the most intelligent but there’s a bias in itself, why not intelligently emotional, for example? Let’s try to do it.
Personal story
I usually have my own opinion about everything and somehow I noticed that I always try to excuse myself before sharing it trying to explain that it’s maybe thinking out of the box. If it’s thinking out of the box then I know how it works and again it’s it. Maybe not to excuse but to create an app explaining my approach of thinking out of the box and some kind of practice to use it.
6. ProArt -“understand art on the spot” - a game-changer not to feel lost or bored at contemporary art exhibitions. Your every visit to any contemporary art exhibition will be entertaining with this app.
Why is it about contemporary art?
To be honest, it’s maybe my biggest failure, I remember that I was scared/not sure enough to go to contemporary art exhibitions. The reason for such incredible self-doubt was like “what will I do there”, “I won’t understand anything”, “I don’t know the names”, “it’s for somebody else, an art educated, for example”, etc. I visited my first contemporary art exhibition absolutely by chance, there was a very long line to the Van Gogh exhibition I was initially going to and this exhibition without any line in the next building. Even after being accepted to my art school, I decided first to start studies there and only after to continue to go to such exhibitions. I still can't understand it to the end. On the other hand, maybe it was the reason to go to the art school.
Personal story
I had some set of previous knowledge and training I wanted to apply to something. I was so lucky to use it in contemporary art understanding/interpretation.
7. TasteArt -“taste first of all” - I believe in self-development. It will be possible to develop taste every time you use this app.
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s absolutely against the stream as nowadays a machine approach to everything leads. For example, which images to choose to place on the site to launch an advertising campaign of doesn’t matter what? Several images are to be chosen by the audience. The majority choice wins. But all the pictures initially can be out of taste. How to feel the difference? Let’s try to do it.
Personal story
In my opinion, taste is maybe the most important in art. From the first attempt to interpret art I felt that there’s always something very important at the very beginning of considering something to be art. It’s taste.
8. FindArt -“find art in the ordinary” - it’s some kind of a walkthrough application to get more acquainted with the own ordinary and what can be more important?
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s against the stream as especially nowadays nobody notices/cares about their own ordinary. More correctly, everybody first of all notices/cares about their societal reality as communication circle or favourite shows or the ordinary of others, etc. Still how often do you pay attention to the grass along your way to the office? When did you last watch the sunset without purpose? Or when were you last intrigued by an overheard conversation of unfamiliar passers-by? It’s rather simple to find art in the extraordinary but how to do it in the own ordinary. Let’s try to do it.
Personal story
It’s my way to understanding contemporary art as sometime I didn't have any idea how it works.
9. You&Art -“get art into your life” - just after installing this application you can have art as your hobby. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are, your background. Most important is that you can make your life more interesting.
Why is it about contemporary art?
The initial name was BuyArt but maybe you’ll actually buy something in several years or simply enjoy the process of being involved. Still, it would be great to develop initially your strategy to follow and become maybe a guru in it. Contemporary art is more about thinking/feeling than knowing. It’s called contemporary because its artists live at the same time as you. They breathe the same air.
Personal story
It’s about how to make contemporary art a hobby, maybe a rather serious one.
10. FindBusiness - “make ideas work” - to collect and develop ideas about possible business/self-employment. It’s a system not only to collect data according to a certain system but also to get a synergy effect of it. It doesn’t matter who you’re, where you live, what is your occupation. You can start looking for your business ideas right away with this app.
Personal story
When I got interested in my business/self-employment the main issue was which business/self-employment to start. As far I understood the approach - start your business exactly in the field where you have most experience doesn’t always work. I was ready to start something new or being previously only hobbies, studies, interests, etc. Everything matters but how to start in any way? As a solution, start to collect the ideas about anything possible in your case. It works. I remember I had a very nice project about contemporary art. Who cares? But those ideas can work out, for example, in mobile applications about it.
11. TrainBusiness/Business incubator - “train your business ideas” - why not to start your own business incubator right now? This app will help to do it.
Personal story
To be honest I didn’t know how business incubators work. I tried to find anything like that for my business ideas but it didn’t happen. I created my own business incubator how I could imagine it. Don’t give up. Look for a solution. Who knows, maybe additional issues will help to develop something very interesting. I remember how the people around liked to ask me about my business incubator, how it was. My answer was always “it’s absolutely ok”. It really has worked. Three business ideas have been developed into two businesses.
12. YourBusiness - “develop your business” - everybody is interested in developing already existing businesses. But how to do it in the most efficient way? How not to miss the most business important and the least important as well? This app will help you to find as many as possible options for future development.
Personal story
Every business owner is interested in its future development. But in what directions to move? Missing a small detail can be very important, even crucial, and, maybe on the opposite, how not to miss the moment itself. As an example, I didn’t consider such a simple factor where to live and it could hurt businesses. Also, if nothing happens, is it about missing the moment or the business is simply not embedded enough in real time?

29. "Spec" - “find special just around you” - to create a new narrative to carry on with life just around everybody. New narrative is based on the country origins and will be used to help people think in terms of small business opportunities.
30. "MuC"
31. "FOut"
32. "Wi" - number three app about financial literacy - to understand the sense itself. It’s based on a fiction novel I read as a teen. We all want something, and it’s important to understand what exactly. It’s about how to build a train of thoughts about yourself/your wishes. Why wait, for example, the whole life for it? It’s about our, maybe, literacy on the whole, life literacy.

49. "St"/ Stable - “understand what stable practically/physically means” - to better understand own unconscious, make more stable own conscious. Every use of the app will help you better understand what matters.
Why is it about contemporary art?
“Stable, most stable about someone”, this definition appeared in my life not long ago. I tried to imagine it as something practical/physical, see as a child (the approach used by René Magritte: see the world through the eyes of a child) but with no result. How to be stable as everything around is changing all the time and you think/have your attitude to everything every moment? Literally/in terms of contemporary art “stable” means that everything around/the reality is unchangeable or you absolutely can’t avoid it and you are unable to think. About what is it? It’s about our dreams, our unconscious. In contemporary art it’s possible to imagine that we can think in our dreams as a child, for example. And what then? Let’s try it.
Personal story
It’s very personal. First, I have tested this approach for a number of years. Second, it’s interesting for me and research about it to continue. It’s universal, out of time, space, etc. Last, I can try to develop it myself with my present programming skills.
50. "Mea"
51. "Par"
52. "Je"
53. "Exp" - number two app about financial literacy - different as all mood apps, methods from psychology to be used. It would have been great for me to have such an app. To explain in two words, it’s a method for change, how to change your life for better in all senses, to start with a sense “all is not in vain”, I mean “financial vain”, to create the sense of senses.
54. "Ba" - Balance - not to miss the most important.
55. "Cal"
56. "Myc"
57. "Sub"
58. "Pre" - number one app about financial literacy - you will use it with immediate results. Unbelievable, think what it can be. You’re right, you can start thinking right away. It will be possible to save money and get sense in something old, maybe already forgotten, or something absolutely new about you but so attracting. The principle opposite to calculating will be used.
Why is it about contemporary art?
It’s against a common approach to calculating everything. There won’t be budgeting or statistics. Different approaches will be used. They don’t contradict the usual apps about financial literacy. On the opposite, it is possible to use them together. The difference is my apps will be all possible positive and fun to use despite their maybe a little “scary” description. Let’s try it.
Personal story
During my class “User Interface Design for Mobile Devices“ we shared ideas about our mobile applications. My idea was “Switcher”. Another student suggested an idea of applications about financial literacy. Even idea itself seemed me then rather boring. You know, calculate a number of cups of coffee, use not professional hairdressers, etc. But, if there's an issue, applications should help resolve issues.
